why didn’t they include the hair net during the wedding????
how was the poisoning supposed to have happened without the hairnet???
hairnet got turned into the necklace for the show. Olenna pretends to be tidying up Sansa’s hair, and boom…

Muuwwaahahaha! oh yeah! I love Petyr, I can’t wait for all of the scenes with him next season.
No offense, pie, but sometimes we’re in the market for a lower-maintenance option (or 28 of them).
How did you know this what just what I needed? :)

A question for ASoIaF experts (Season 3 & ASOS Spoilers):
So my fantasy league pick for “A Stark in Winterfell” is, of course, Benjen Stark. However, I have to admit, deep down, I know that that probably won’t happen.
^This would also be sufficient.
That being said, I want my girl Sansa to be the Stark in Winterfell by the end. How do I reconcile this with the fact that, technically, Sansa is now a Lannister, with a husband just about all readers/viewers likes? Do I hope for:
- Tyrion’s death
- Tyrion finding out that he isn’t a Lannister after all
- Casterly Rock being burnt to the ground by a dragon, leaving nothing and nobody (Rains of Castamere style), which would make Tyrion the LAST Lannister
- Dorne coming in, kicking everyone’s ass, an instituting Dornish law (i.e. Sansa can inherit Winterfell instead of Tyrion)
- Something else entirely
I am finally ready to Feast/Dance!
Got my list, got my interactive ASoIaF map. I’m so excited to actually enjoy AFFC this time around.

Sam = GRRM
So I have a theory that all authors insert themselves into their books in some way, either consciously or subconsciously. Find the character that stands in for the author, and you will probably also find the most fully formed character in the novel.
After reading ASOS, my heart tells me that GRRM created Samwell Tarly to be his representation in the story. Sweet, shlubby, scared, but in the end a hero. Friend to one of the the coolest guys in the book, and totally lovable despite not being a typical badass. Respectful to women, smart, loves reading and hates camping. Sam = GRRM.

courier newed: Stop complaining about these ungrateful women.
Yes, I am a huge Sansa fan, and like a mama bear I will eat your face if you say mean things about her. That being said, I’m going to say this as nicely as possible because some of the bitching about Sansa’s marriage I think comes from non-book readers not understanding the full context. Putting…
You may be right, But in the books, I still think of Tyrion as a misunderstood, somewhat beautiful man. Regardless of the show. Do you even know how many that hates and dislikes Peter for playing Tyrion? To me, in MY head, Tyrion is beautiful, no nose and ugly scar or not.
You are correct as well, I think Tyrion is misunderstood and it is unfair that he is judge for his looks. I like his character a lot and think he deserves better. However, I just wanted to make the point that the show has some of us getting mad at characters like Sansa and Dany for not just giving it up based on our lusty thoughts about the actors who play Tyrion and Jorah.
From a perspective of a viewer/non-reader, I would be like, “Sansa girl, open your eyes, he’s not Jaime but he’s pretty good just the same.” But her decision is not based on show!Tyrion, her decision is based on the source material and book!Tyrion. If more viewers understood that they might not hate on Sansa so much (or they would find something else to hate on her about.)
